Counseling for Individuals and Couples

I’m here to support you as you work your way through whatever challenges you are facing. I assist adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of aspects of life adjustment & emotional well-being, including general discontent, life transitions, perinatal mental health needs, relationship conflict, parenting, anxiety, Autism, ADHD, & more.

I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families on challenges related to all types of relationships. Even if you just need a place as an individual to make sense of your experiences and feelings, you will find compassion, understanding and acceptance here.

I fully believe in the EFT model as the best intervention for strained relationships. For more information on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) in particular, please click here.

I also have training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and am dedicated to working with all kinds of families and parents in many different chapters of life . Whatever you are experiencing in your fertility, pregnancy, postpartum or parenting journey, I am here to support you - from fertility struggles and the ups and downs of IVF or adoption to those navigating a pregnancy or postpartum adjustment and finding their way in parenting. Whether you are struggling with significant anxiety and/or depression, feeling like you've lost touch with yourself, or just feeling confused or uncertain as you navigate this chapter of life, this is a safe place for you.

It can be hard to take that first step. Please feel free to reach out to me by sending a message using the form below, and I am happy to scheduled an initial phone consultation to determine if I am the right fit for your needs.

Insurance: I am in-network with Premera/BCBS and Aetna. If your insurance coverage is with another company, I require full payment at time of service, but I can provide you with the appropriate paperwork to submit requests for reimbursement to your insurance provider. Depending on the insurance coverage, I may be able to directly bill as an out of network provider on a case-by-case basis. Please note that marriage counseling is typically not covered by medical insurance, and therefore these sessions are out of pocket expenses.  Medical insurance may cover limited couples sessions when one partner has a mental health diagnosis AND the sessions are focused on the supporting the needs of that patient.  This would typically be a supplement to individual therapy. Because the therapeutic work that I do with couples is focused on the relationship, not on mental health needs, I am typically not able to bill insurance for it.  Feel free to reach out to discuss your specific coverage and ask about your options.
